Who we are

The idea of an app for scanners has been rattling around in James' head for the best part of his Scanning career. A catch up over a beer and a commitment from Hamish to building a testable prototype, has turned into several organic requests from other scanners and farmers, Scanners Tally is the result of that collaboration.

Hamish is a software engineer with 15 years experience. He studied Chemical Engineering at Canterbury University before pivoting into software. He has worked on cloud-based software across New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

James is a professional livestock scanner from New Zealand with a passion for technology and improving farm productivity. Having studied agriculture at Lincoln University, he has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by farmers and scanners alike.
